I got this Apple iPod recently. It proved me again what Apple's target audience is: ones that do not know even the 'T' in Technology.
They want to keep everything simple. So far so good. To keep it simple, they make counter intuitive decisions on our behalf! That is stretching the meaning of "simple" too far that it hurts. When we are used to maintaining everything as files and folders, here comes iPod that says,
By default iPod will not allow you to save music as files and folders. But then you can go ahead and shoot on your own foot if you are that particular. There is a play/pause button on the front but no stop button! And the documentation talks about how to reset but not about how to stop!! By mistake I held down the wrong end of the jog button for six seconds and then realized it is to stop. duh!
Oh! BTW, you need a computer to charge the batteries. Alternatively, you can buy an extensive
universal adapter to charge them. I mean, who is going to buy more than one of these gizmos to require a
universal adapter?
Hmmm.... Somehow we always have to choose between the devil and the deeps**t. Isn't there a clean and neat choice available somewhere?
